I say that I collaborate with mother nature and objects as I have an element of control in the process but never really know how a work is going to ultimatley turn out--the object or plant does what it does and I work and flow with it. Nature in this painting however had a bigger impact on the end result than anticipated.

I usually remove all plant matter while creating a piece--but this one is unique. As I was pulling a sunflower off the center seeds remained intact. Too beautful to remove I left them in, securing them on the canvas with resin. It is truly one of a kind.

Mixed media on canvas, 36" x 36", framed in maple and ready to hang.
